We don't know yet. Testing has, for the most part, been restricted to pts with symptoms.
We do have some data from the ill-fated Princess Cruise Ship, Diamond.
From January 20-25tha passenger about the Diamond had COVID-19 and didn't know. The infected traveler disembarked in Hong Kong on Jan. 25th and a few days later, tested positive for COVID-19. The Diamond was informed on Feb. 1st. The passengers mingled for several days without restriction. On Feb 3rd, several passengers tested positive, after Japanese officials refused the Diamond from docking. For 2-3 weeks, passengers remained quarrantined on the ship in Japanese waters.
Of 3,711 people on board, 705 tested positive for COVID-19. (1%) died, all were over 70 years old.
Interestingly, only 50% of the 705 were symptomatic.
